     I favor 3 right now. It would be easiest, and as Ben mentioned, moving
     code around using Git is easy, so we could change it later if
     necessary.

I think that 3. is probably the best short term move, since I don't
think it'll make the anything worse than it already is.  As we get to
understand things better we can make more informed choices.
