[Protux-devel] OFF TOPIC : help in setting up two isapnp soundcards (awe32/sbawe AND vibra16x/sb16

Hi all,

I am trying to make these 2 isapnp soundcards to work, but this is what happens:

I first try modprobe snd-sbawe  . It works

then  I try snd-sb16, it fails :

/lib/modules/2.4.21-0.13mdk/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sb16.o: init_module: No 
such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including 
invalid IO or IRQ parameters.

modprobe: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.21-0.13mdk/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sb16.o 
failed
modprobe: insmod snd-sb16 failed


Then I reboot the machine, and make the inverse

modprobe snd-sb16  . It works


then 

modprobe snd-sbawe
/lib/modules/2.4.21-0.13mdk/kernel/sound/isa/sb/snd-sbawe.o: init_module: No 
such device

It seems I can have either one or other, but not both at the same time. 
dmesg is showing this :

isapnp: Card 'Creative SB32 PnP'
isapnp: Card 'Creative ViBRA16X PnP'
isapnp: 2 Plug & Play cards detected total


and pnpdump > temp.txt && isapnp temp.txt gives me this :

Board 1 has Identity 5e 00 14 69 90 44 00 8c 0e:  CTL0044 Serial No 1337744 
[checksum 5e]
Board 2 has Identity 6d ff ff ff ff f0 00 8c 0e:  CTL00f0 Serial No -1 
[checksum 6d]
