Neato! I have tested this and it's awesome. Definitely I can see
needing to go back in history: maybe it should retain history since
the last time a value was put in as -1, -2, -3, etc, so you can
repeatedly go back. The coloured ascii thing is also unexpectedly
really sweet for my dyslexic habit of mixing up correspondence between
the hex view and the ascii view in general since it gives extra
markers to follow rather than having to count.
