Look in the "Doc" directory in the CVS tree.  You will find the existing documentation, such as it is.
I can give you a brief sketch...  Assuming you have a fairly up to date Linux install with X support:
1.  Download using CVS the source.
2.  Upgrade your Linux install to include the necessary build tools (see documentation for details)
3.  Configure your build
4.  Compile the Plex86 source into executables, and resolve any fatal compiler errors (If any arise)
5.  Either use an existing config file, or create one of your own.
6.  Obtain or create some disk images for the machine and OS you wish to run.
7.  Start up Plex86 using the supplied script.
Sounds worse than it is...

My apologies if this has been addressed before, but I could not find an answer in the list archives.   I've been looking high and low for some plex86 install guide, quick start guide, install walkthrough, whatever.  I just want to install plex86, get a VM running, and evaluate it briefly.  I'm not a Linux expert, but not a beginner either.  Thanks to anyone who can help.
