I am having the same problems as other users on install of most recent
stable version.  I am installing onder SCO linux (SuSE 9.x) .  The install
results in error messages indicating that the database was not created.  I
checked perms and saw that for some reason the phpgroupware files are all
installed root:root and in fact I had to cahnge perms to get the headers
fixed in header. inc.php

I have tried to do thing manually also to no avail.

I have webmin installed and also noted that no password was created for
mysql.  setting a password in mysql got things a little further, but still
no joy.....
