Ahh, good, didn't realize this option existed (I've been
going through apps installed on my network, looking for
where passwords were stored out in the open).
Does turning on mcrypt support in phpgroupware maintain
backwards compatibility with the existing passwords that
are stored in the users' prefs?

Disregard my last post, I wasn't thinking.
All passwords in phpgroupware can be encoded, using the
mcrypt module in php. Please install this and make the
required changed to your install of phpgroupware.
