Alas, that "some little clause" screws the licensing up so that it
becomes GPL-incompatible.  That means that integrating this code
into phpGW violated the GPL license of those parts of phpGW which
are GPL'd.

Maybe the original author will be willing to fix the licensing
problem.  If not, count it as a learning experience to check the
licensing of third-party code before investing a lot of time.

I wouldn't quite call it "nonfree"... the licensing is screwed
up, but not badly enough to make it "nonfree".
