Dear Paparazzi community,
We are pleased to announce that the new stable release of
Paparazzi, numbered v5.12, is out!
This version was planned for July, but was delayed to add some
important changes.
The most important changes of this version are:
- almost all subsystems converted to modules
- for simulation: better support of HITL, Gazebo and Morse
virtual environments
- for airborne: ChibiOS on rotorcraft, autopilot mode
generation, ABI messages binding from flight plans, guidance
vector fields, INDI for hybrid vehicles control
- for hardware: several new boards (lisa MXS, Parrot Swing and
Disco, Chimera), HOTT radio control drivers, Decawave DW1000
modules
- integration of PPRZLINK v2.0 (not default yet) to allow
air-to-air communication, more messages in the future, component
IDs,...

Unfortunately, we couldn't remove the old subsystems completely,
but this work is in progress, hopefully for the next release!
