I have not used other than <subsystem name="control" />  which is the standard fixed wing control loops.
This seems to work fine for my planes.

I attach the configuration file for the Skywalker.

type,adaptive,new and energy)?Of course,'best' means in that mode,the plane
is the most stable(especially for altitude).
