[Paparazzi-devel] Question about throttle control for fixed-wing aircrafts

HI.

Can anybody please explain the principle of throttle control for fixed-wing
aircrafts?If there is no airspeed sensor,how does the autopilot decide the
proper need of throttle at any time during a flight for the aircraft?The
more details,the better. 

I really need to understand this for my own project.Any help is appreciated.
