We want to make smooth landing of a fixedwing aircraft using SRF08 ultrasonic range sensor. Is there an implementation about it?
A simple solution may be to switch to a different block in flight plan and make the pitch angle 0, if the measured distance of the sensor is below 50cm.
Or, it can try to hold the altitude at around 50cm by changing pitch angle only, with an additional control loop in the C files? I do not know if a smooth and precise landing is already implemented or not, using an ultrasonic range sensors?
