Your receiver probably has failsafe built in, so it sets the controls to a
predetermined position when it loses signal. You may be able to disable this
behaviour in your transmitter or receiver.
Failing that, I vaguely remember some method involving setting the failsafe of
a spare channel you don't use to something other than what it is when the TX is
on, then using this 'switch' to let the autopilot know the RC link is lost.
Try searching through the mailing list archives or see if such a module exists.
