Hi Felix
I already tried restarting the link after I plugged in the cable and and it
seems like the link is running. If I plug the cable first and then start the
session I don't get any errors.
Run '/home/mav/paparazzi/sw/ground_segment/tmtc/link -d /dev/ttyUSB0'
Run '/home/mav/paparazzi/sw/ground_segment/tmtc/server '
Run '/home/mav/paparazzi/sw/ground_segment/cockpit/gcs '
seems to be working but still the CGS is blank.
Connections are
GND to GND,
RX to TX
and TX to RX
regards Arni

Hi Arni,
so the link is running? In what you previously posted you started the session
(including link) _before_ you plugged the usb. Of course then link didn't start
since it can't find the usb device (not plugged yet).
So first plug usb, then start the session or simply restart the link once you
plugged it in..
Also make sure your serial cable is plugged correctly in your tiny (same as if
you would connect a XBee).
Cheers, Felix

Hi Felix
I set the baudrate on the airframe file to 9600 (so the tiny would send at
9600) and then started the session Flight address@hidden (to set the CGS to
9600). Thought that would be enaugh.
I am not using xbee's yet, I am only connecting the autopilot with the computer
throug USB-serial cable.
regards Arni

Hi,
The baudrate you set on the ground needs to match the baudrate you set in your
airframe file. So if you start it on the ground with 9600, you have to
configure it to 9600 on the autopilot as well.
Also your ground xbee already needs to be plugged in when you start the link
(or you have to (re)start the link once you plugged it in)

Hi all
I am trying to connect to the tiny via serial but I am getting blank GCS.
I am using
Airframe: funjet_example.xml
flight plan: basic.xml
Telemetry: default.xml
Uploading to the board works fine an then I launch
Session Flight address@hidden
get the error
Failure("Error opening modem serial device : fd < 0 (/dev/ttyUSB0)")
I get blank CGS and then plug in the serial to USB using PPZUAV FTDI Utility
board V1.0
but nothing happens.
I ran sudo|dmesg and got

Is there anything I am missing?
