[Paparazzi-devel] IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! Change of git branching model.

Hi all,

In order to improve the development workflow and provide stable releases we have changed our git branching model.
The branch "master" is now our development branch.

• The "dev" branch was renamed to the release preparation branch "v3.9".
• This essentially replaces the 4.0_beta branch.
• "master" was reset to the previous "locm3" branch, where development will happen now with libopencm3 for the STM32 architecture.
• The old master is tagged as "old_master".

If you want to update, the v3.9 branch is recommended for most users at this point.

To switch to that branch, run

   git fetch

   git checkout v3.9

We have also cleaned up the configuration:

• Example airframes can now be found under conf/airframes/examples.
• considerable cleanup of the settings xml files

More details on how to choose the appropriate settings files will follow, refer to the example configurations in conf/conf.xml.example for now.
