Can you try to change the line

ap.srcs += $(SRC_ARCH)/mcu_periph/i2c_arch.c

with

ap.srcs += $(SRC_ARCH)/mcu_periph/i2c_arch.new.c

in conf/autopilot/rotorcraft.makefile

an report if this does something for you
