looks like it misses a / in font dev !
wath path did you give for the modem device ?
it should probably be /dev/ttyUSB0
fyi : a path starting with / is called absolute, it's defined wrt the
root of the filesystem ( / )
a path that doesn't start by / is called a relative path, it's
defined wrt the current directory
