Hi Nathan,
Once you have downloaded the map tiles a cached copy is stored in
/paparazzi3/var/maps/. If you want to use the chached data only then select
the "Maps" menu and set "MapsPolicy" to "NoHttp". Paparazzi will then stop
trying to download map tiles.
I got banned 3 times by google maps when downloading the Kingaroy region for
the OBC. Just wait 24 hours and then download the next block of map tiles to
cache ;-)
Cheers
Jeremy

Subject: [Paparazzi-devel] Map data
I have noticed that if I am connected to the internet and banned from google
maps because I have downloaded too much, the software does not detect the
403 error messages and continues to try to download. It would be good if the
software detected the 403 error message and just used cache. Is it possible
for someone to point me towards the map download code (I have had a good
look but cannot find it) so I can have a crack at changing it to do this?
Kindest regards,
Nathan Aherne
