antenna
I'm not sure I understand you correctly, are you suggesting a
compass-driven car-mounted north-tracking platform, and on top of that
a GPS-driven plane-tracking antenna (where the plane-tracking software
assumes it's mounted on a correctly oriented platform); a mechanical
solution to a simple arithmetic problem - why not mix the compass data
into plane-tracking antenna's software?
What sort of compass are you using?
