You can use futba 2,4ghz in paparazzi ,I do . With the included receiver you 
can find the ppm stream but ony 5 ch of them 1 to 5 . The 6 and 7 are 
handled separately and only available with the encoder.
I use a futaba 6exh 2.4 also with the 4th ch in the radio modified as a 
3point switch . Is all I need for the easystar.
