Dear Martin 

Is it possible to use this new feature to access the GPS unit for initial configuration purposes using u -centre. 

I only ask as I have been expereincing extreme difficultly getting error free communication through the FTDI cable and Tiny 2.11 uart 1 for the above purpose using an Windows XP IBM laptop. 

Just in case, I have loaded the boot loader and tunnel

It was needed to change the peripheral clock (PCLK) in the LPC2148 to make this possible. Changing this "master" clock affects almost all hardware modules on the chip. The drivers (uart, spi, adc, ...) need to be aware of that changed clock. They have been adapted and are now able to run with different PCLKs.
