Not if this is related but it seems to be.. I just made a new dir and
d/led the new cvs to test the functionality and i get this error when
trying the build any flight plan (not just the ones using lat and long)

You get an error because of the DTD.
If you remove the reference to the DTD, you will get an
error from
the preprocessor (check_distance function,
gen_flight_plan.ml:557 <http://gen_flight_plan.ml:557>
<http://gen_flight_plan.ml:557>)
If you comment out this line, you will be able to compile the
simulator ... and get an error in the GCS :-(
sorry ... if it is really required I will fix it. If not, I
will
remove any reference to it !
