Be careful though.  You must get this DEFAULT_IR_CONTRAST to be set to the contrast for your flying conditions or the plane will not fly right.  All code to help fly without a IR_TOP has been removed(Pascal please confirm).

I believe this has been addressed previously, but if you remove the
IR_TOP variables, the autopilot will default to using the
DEFAULT_IR_CONTRAST (which should be defined in your airframe file) in
place of the IR_TOP variable.

PS - IR vertical is the same as IR top, or in other words, the IR_TOP
sensor is the vertical IR sensor
