Hi all,

I'm from Azores Islands at Portugal and I'm an Aeronautic Engineer.

I have a Tiny 2.11 board from PPZUAV and I'm trying to configure the GPS LEA-4P.

After installing the UART tunnel for direct access to the GPS I followed the steps from http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/index.php/GPS#GPS_configuration_using_U-Center and http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/index.php/GPS_CONFIG.

-          01 Install U-Center on Windows XP

-          02 Connect FTDI Cable + 8-pin Molex adapter to USB on your laptop

-          03 Install the FTDI driver

-          04 Connect 8-pin Molex to "serial1" on Tiny 2.11

-          05 On U-Center, set the Baud rate: 9600 and Port: COM3

-          06 Menu: Tools/GPS Config select the file to upload (LEA-4P file downloaded)

-          07 Click File >> GPS button to send the file to the GPS

I think the step number 4 is wrong, instead of "serial1" must be "DOWNLOAD". Right?

So the cable must be like mine:

TINY DOWNLOAD – FTDI

TINY RXD0 --- PC SERIAL RX (5V or 3.3V) (YELLOW)

TINY TXD0 --- PC SERIAL TX (5V or 3.3V) (ORANGE)

TINY GND  --- PC SERIAL GND

By this way I can see in U-Center information from GPS. Satellites, coordinates, etc.

But I can't send the configuration file to the GPS. I get time out. I don't understand why.

Another question is about the cable adapter for the telemetry connected directly to tiny SERIAL port.

It's like this one http://paparazzi.enac.fr/wiki/index.php/Compiling#Installing_the_USB_Bootloader ? Or like the GPS one?

"Make up a wiring harness similar to the following. You may vary the details however this is a working solution:

TINY RXD0 <-- PC SERIAL TX (5V or 3.3V)

TINY TXD0 --> PC SERIAL RX (5V or 3.3V)

TINY RESET --> optional wired to ground through a pushbutton so you can reset

TINY P0.14 (SERIAL1-5) --> attach to ground, or wire through a pushbutton to ground

TINY GND --> PC SERIAL ADAPTER GND"

Thank you.

Best Regards
