RE: [Paparazzi-devel] Installation Problems using Ubuntu 8.04

The only difference in this guide i would recommend is to not install paparazzi-avr and not use the sudo command for the cvs command.
The reason for the first is because you will not be flashing any avr chips with the modern paparazzi system.. The second suggestion is because u don't need root privileges to run pprz so its just easier to not set it so it will.

It is not recommended to install both paparazzi-bin and paparazzi-dev,so u need uninstall paparazzi-bin.
1. Sudo vi /etc/apt/sources.list   (don't delete default source list,because u need download some package from ubuntu source )
       add :

deb http://paparazzi.enac.fr/ubuntu gutsy main

deb http://paparazzi.enac.fr/ubuntu hardy main
2. sudo dpkg -P  paparazzi-bin   (uninstall paparazzi-bin)
3.  sudo apt-get update           (-----get update list)
4.sudo apt-get install libocamlnet-ocaml-dev
(------the new package needed for paparazzi compile,it is downloaded from ubuntu   source)
5.Sudo apt-get install paparazzi-avr
6.Sudo apt-get install paparazzi-arm7
7.Sudo apt-get install paparazzi-dev
8.

sudo cvs -z3 -d:pserver:address@hidden:/sources/paparazzi co paparazzi3
9. cd /home/(your loginname)/paparazzi3/
10.make clean
11.make
