Hi,
one the EMAV08 competition many groups
uses the paparazzi system again. The weather condition (wind in the
range of
10m/s) was worse even for light weight
MAVs like the Lerche 400 (195g). The
ranking of paparazzi users of normal plane aircrafts in the out door
autonomous
completion were:
3. place Holliday 50, TU
delft, paparazzi hardware, but one
software
5. place glases one, MAC,
manual landing necessary, no autonomous
landing, three landing attempts
6. place dodox , RTWH Aachen
10. place lerche 400, akaflieg Bremen, no autonomous landing in time,
four landing attempts
The
lerche 400 and the glasses one shown the same problems with the
autonomous landing and the flight path near the turbulences of the
wood. I
don’t know the reasons (problem with the wind vector, high estimation,
attitude
estimation).
Some
questions: What did de Wagter chance in his software. What
software version uses the dodox of
the RTWH Aachen? What
was the reason of the malfunction in
autonomous landing near the wood for the Lerche 400 and the glasses
one? I
thing to answer these questions will
result in improvements of the system (software or aircraft setting).
