Thank you for your work on these functions. Yes, they do need a significant
amount of work. At the very least, there is no copyright or license associated
with the functions you have posted, without which they cannot be
redistributed.
It has been a long time since you posted the initial revisions here, but if
you are still interested in improving these functions to get them included in
the signal package, I can help with several specific suggestions to make them
useful.
