Follow-up Comment #10, patch #9440 (project octave):

The source archive for Octave should probably be
octave-4.3.0+.tar.{gz,bz2,lz,xz}. The source distribution is best produced by
Octave itself running the "make dist" target. This is the way the mxe-octave
build system is set up to accept a prepared Octave source distribution.

You shouldn't need --enable-shared --disable-static --disable-docs. The
--with-lapack= option can be removed, just use --with-blas=openblas. Also use
--prefix=/app as a configure option rather than as a make argument.
