Follow-up Comment #19, patch #8943 (project octave): I was looking for a way to add limit checks for the properties that control lighting for patches and surfaces. I found task #11311 where Pantxo already implemented just that. I cannot comment on that task. This is why I am writing here. That patch does currently not apply on the default branch (haven't checked stable). But with some manual merging, it seems to do its job perfectly.
