Follow-up Comment #97, patch #8783 (project octave): The attached changeset fixes the anomaly Ben pointed out. Now a parse error causes the output to be truncated for either a file or a string. Thanks to Philip for his tireless help in this, and thanks to everyone else for polishing the many rough edges.
