Follow-up Comment #11, patch #8607 (project octave):
I've tried your patch on Windows. It compiles fine, but I haven't been able to
read/write hdf5 files yet.
My aim (hope) is to be able to read Matlab's newest .mat file; hopefully this
is a way to implement classdef object I/O to .mat files (my ML-addicted
colleagues told me those objects are written as some sort of structs)
I did hit an issue but I'm not sure it is related:
With your patch I cannot install the OF communications package anymore, it
complains about undeclared HID_t. That is somewhere in the hdf5 include tree.
