Follow-up Comment #26, patch #7990 (project octave): I should point out that I ran this on a system with multiple cores. Maybe there is never a reason for the worker thread to be interrupted because each thread can have its own CPU. I'll check if there is some way to run under one CPU, but if it isn't an easy thing to do I probably won't put too much effort into it.
