Follow-up Comment #25, patch #7857 (project octave):

Yes, I think you are correct.  These hunks are inadvertently in the wrong
place somehow.  I don't recall ever editing anything near floating code, and
that I'd delete something in relation to float is doubtful.

I guess I didn't understand the mercurial import feature well enough.  I
should have just gone back to the tried and true manually replacing old hunks.
 I wish the "diff" algorithm were a little more selective and not create such
big hunks that can easily conflict with other changes.

I will look at this this weekend.  I want to review the Qt file buffering to
see if there is any risk of missing an exterior file change.
