​I have had it preloaded in the buildbot environment for quite some time;
you do not need to do anything special.

You can see it in e.g.:
http://buildbot.octave.org:8010/builders/gcc-fedora/builds/977/steps/configure/logs/stdio

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libGLX_mesa.so.0

Maybe I'm being dumb here, but where do you set that for the buildslave?  I'd like to do the same for mine.

​I just put it in .bashrc.
So I actually login buildbot user...
