Eugenio, Marco,
I think the main goal for the fem-fenics package is ultimately to be merged
with the FEnics project itself,
so that it can remain in-sync with the main library development.
So if you wish to work on this project it would be crucial to try to get the
main dolfin developers intersted,
and understand what would be required to get the the octave package merged with
the FEnics distro.
Marco already had contact with them on their forum and they appeared to be
quite helpful ...
