Follow-up Comment #12, bug #63437 (project octave):

I don't know how disruptive those fixes would be. But if they are pretty
straight forward, I guess we could still aim for fixing them before the
release.
In the past, it often looked like "the pressure was off" after a release and
not much happened in this regard until shortly before the next release...

I'd just vote against adding new features now. But fixing those issues is
always fine imho.
