Follow-up Comment #11, bug #61711 (project octave):

The changes from comment #10 built on the platforms for which we have runners
on GitHub (Linux, macOS, MinGW, Cygwin). So, I pushed them to the default
branch after adding a commit message:
https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/e7fc6251b698

This might allow to partially revert the changes from comment #6 and move that
constructor definition back to the header.
I'll try to do that, and also try building with `-O0` again.
