Follow-up Comment #11, bug #62468 (project octave):

Why the recursive call: because otherwise you have to set a flag to multiply
the result at the end. But yes, this seems better to me. 

For testing, I attach now a version that incorporates all the points mentioned
in the meantime:
- I deleted the (as yet inactive) test that would set too_close
- I deleted the lines that set h0 (which is never used)
- For real-valued integration paths (and only those) with b<a, the two ends
are exchanged, waypoints are sorted, and the result is multiplied by -1 at the
end
- And the two documentation inaccuracies are fixed.

What is not done is the documentation of the additional features this bug
report is about: the capability to do array-valued integration.
