Follow-up Comment #2, bug #61472 (project octave):
This behavior only shows up in ASAN builds and not in regular use. Your
comment indicates it does not break things elsewhere in Octave. Unless it is
an indicator of future trouble (e.g. a future C++ standard makes it illegal to
mix them), I feel it is probably not worth your time implementing these
changes simply to placate ASAN. Thoughts? Do you think it's safe to ask ASAN
to ignore the mismatch?
