Details:

Octave refuses to find the binary "pstoedit",
even if shell command "which pstoedit" shows a valid location of "pstoedit". 
To demonstrate the issue I attach a small script.
Octave refuses to find pstoedit, even if I change into this directory, where
the binary pstoedit is loacted.
