Follow-up Comment #11, bug #61358 (project octave):

I'm attaching a simple file with an empty-value which hopefully will help
localize where the assignment is going wrong.

Can you download NA.empty.csv and then in Octave try


x = dlmread ('NA.empty.csv', 'emptyvalue', NA)
