Follow-up Comment #9, bug #60912 (project octave):
I installed the 64 bit version of octave 6.3 with 64-bit indexing on a windows
machine using the exe installer. I used C:\Octave to install it. No problems
with directory permissions. C:\Temp is still usable. If it helps.
