Follow-up Comment #18, bug #60933 (project octave): Hmm... That is interesting. `canonicalize_file_name` should *not* return a folder *below* the folder it got as input. It should "resolve" symlinks in the path. But I would have thought that having a symlinked folder point to a folder *below* itself would result in strange recursive behavior.
