Follow-up Comment #155, bug #57591 (project octave):
It is a long shot, but what is openblas library on those debian systems? In
fedora openblas is serial, openblasp is pthread, and
openblaso is OpenMP. I have some occasional segafaults in odd places during
make check on AMD/ryzen systems when I used default openblas library (none of
them happens during individual tests). Lately it is on "make check" at
bug-53468 (???).
It is not happening on intel cpus (fedora's buildbots are on i7-2600 at the
moment, but used to be on amd fx-8350).
The crash does not happen if I use OpenMP interface
(I have a vague recollection that openmp is recommended for multithreaded
application so the threads don't clash).
