The softwe runs in vmware player 16.1 using windows 10, 64 bit I7 9700 32 GB.

The simple command:

x=rand(1,10);
plot(x)

produces a plot which has a frame that does not fit the plot itself. This
error does not occur using octave 6.1 running under windows 10.
