Follow-up Comment #31, bug #57033 (project octave): In one sense I'm not surprised. At one point I cleaned up a bunch of memory issues related to cholmod that were pointed out by the ASAN leak detector. This was in 2016 and 2017. At this point, I think it is worthwhile to commit the changes to the development branch and continue further work there. Otherwise, the sources are going to continue to drift away from the patch and require another rebasing operation.
