Follow-up Comment #1, bug #59253 (project octave): Thanks for the report. If qt-settings-default is the file that is initially generated by the welcome wizard, then this file is definitely much too short. Have you copied this file directly after octave's start up or (without modification) after octave eas closed again? If the latter is the case, I guess there is a problem when octave is writing the settings file at exit.
