Follow-up Comment #4, bug #59245 (project octave): @Philip: you are right, I was distracted by the title of this report. If the aim was to improve XML support in Octave, I thought it might be worth focussing on readstruct/writestruct but this will not really help if the aim is to build the tools in order to implement xlsread/xlswrite.
