Follow-up Comment #1, bug #59156 (project octave): I re-ordered such that `ismac` is checked before `isunix` here: https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/61788482bcb7 I didn't notice that on Mac `lldb` is called instead of `gdb` until after I already pushed that patch. Does `lldb` have a --version switch for which it immediately returns with success? Does the attached patch work for you?
