Thank you for the bug report. This is an unusual place to request wiki
updates, maybe https://octave.discourse.group/ is more suitable.
If "fixed" those issues as follows:
https://wiki.octave.org/Octave_load (marked as outdated)
https://wiki.octave.org/Fortran (updated example)
For the first link, there are better examples in the manual. The approach
tried there has to have an interpreter instance for the type resolution, thus
only with plain ASCII data one can make something similar with Octave 5.2.0+,
as for the Fortran case.
