URL: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?58679> Summary: Missing function lsqminnorm Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: atcl Submitted on: Mon 29 Jun 2020 08:48:28 PM UTC Category: Libraries Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Matlab Compatibility Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Release: 5.2.0 Discussion Lock: Any Operating System: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: The MATLAB function "lsqminnorm" is not available in Octave 5.2. A simple least-norm solver could be implemented using the QR decomposition, see https://see.stanford.edu/materials/lsoeldsee263/Additional4-ls_ln_matlab.pdf . This QR-based method would also allow to implement the "tol" argument. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?58679> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
